Run by the South East Asian Institute for Global Studies, the Thai and Southeast Asian Studies Program at Payap University is a one- or two-semester academic program for students primarily interested in becoming proficient in the Thai language and knowledgeable about Thai culture, the greater Mekong Sub-Region, and Southeast Asia in general. However, we also offer advanced language courses on a more limited basis for students already somewhat proficient in Thai language*. The program offers a well-developed language curriculum, required and elective courses in a wide range of disciplines, and extensive field trips, excursions, and cultural activities. Thai Studies students explore Thailand from the inside.
