The Payap University International College (IC) is seeking to hire qualified, English-speaking instructors for the upcoming term. All nationalities are welcome, but proficiency in the English language is a must as instructors will be responsible for courses taught in the all-English IC programs. Minimum requirement is a Master's Degree in the field of instruction (undergraduate programs only). A Doctorate Degree is preferred (required for graduate programs). Other requirements can be discussed at the time of interview. The following are programs requiring instructors:
Department of Information Technology
Full-time Instructor (two positions available)
The Department of Information Technology (IT) at the Payap University International College, Chiang mai invites applications for a full-time instructor position in IT. Screen will begin immediately upon receipt of a completed application. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, although maximum consideration will be given to applications received by 15 June 2015 or 15 November 2015.
The successful applicant must hold a Master’s or Ph.D. (preferred) in Information Technology or Computer Science or related discipline. The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to high quality teaching at the university level with a particular focus on:

The English Communication Department is currently looking for:
The successful applicant will hold a Master’s or Ph.D. (preferred) in TE/TESOL/TEFL. The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching with at least 3 to 5 years at the university level.
Each member of the EC is expected to teach 9 to 12 hours each week. Example of classes include:
1. Speech writing
3. Small Group Communication
4. Presentation classes
5. Reading for Specific Purposes
6. Reading for Discussion
Further to teaching 9 to 12 contact hours, each lecturer is expected to hold 10 offices hours where they are available to meet students and carry out administration duties. Administration duties include:
1. Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed conferences and journals
2. Develop course materials
3. Contribute to curriculum development
4. Participate in department and University service/activities
5. Perform other academic and miscellaneous administrative duties

- Degree: Ph.D or Ed.D in TESOL, TEFL, Curriculum and Instruction, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics or related field.
- Experience: Have minimum of 5-years experience in teaching.
- Publication: Have publications or research published in any recognized journals or publications.
- Language proficiency: Have high English proficiency and be able to teach in English. Native English speaker preferred.
- Teach MA (TESOL) elective and core courses.
- Teach Certificate Programs in support of the TESOL Department (two times per year).
- Supervise student Thesis and Independent Study.
- Develop collaborative links with educational institutions abroad, as well as local schools and universities.
- Conduct research, academic work, and/or publish books.
- Contribute to curriculum development.
- Participate in departmental and university activities.
- Contribute by way of community service and miscellaneous administrative work.
